Lin Yuan closed his eyes, sensing his strength, and nodded slightly.
Though he had already become familiar with his power in the Dragon-Tiger World, the Main World was different, and there were subtle variations between worlds.
The Dao of Taiji surged in his mind, and Lin Yuan floated into the air, his feet leaving the ground.
In the Dragon-Tiger World, reaching the Heavenly Master level allowed one to fly freely.
In the Main World, however, the ability to fly varied depending on the evolution path taken.
Most evolution paths allowed flight at the third tier, some special paths at the second tier, and a few only at the fourth tier.
Lin Yuan stepped onto the rooftop of his building, ready to take flight, but then he hesitated.
This wasn't the Dragon-Tiger World.
There, he could fly as he pleased, but here on the technologically advanced Azure Wave Star, he needed to be cautious.
The planetary defense systems here wouldn't ignore a sudden high-altitude presence.
If detected, it could trigger responses like electromagnetic cannons or laser beams, which would be troublesome even for Lin Yuan.
"Respected Tier 3 citizen, Mr. Lin Yuan, you have no need for concern. You are free to roam the skies over the Eastern Continent," a dignified and cool voice spoke—it was the Goddess of Wisdom.
Lin Yuan was not in a privacy-protected area observed by the human alliance agreements, so the Goddess of Wisdom had the right to monitor his actions.
Hearing this, Lin Yuan felt reassured.
If the Goddess of Wisdom found no issue, then even the high-security planetary defense systems could be managed under her control.
With a swift motion, Lin Yuan soared into the sky.
He didn't realize that the invisible fluctuations covering the entire Azure Wave Star were being split open slightly as he flew.
Around him, within a range of several hundred miles, all sensing devices and surveillance methods failed to function.
Back at the Azure Wave Star's security center, a staff member noticed something strange on the screens.
"What's happening?" a colleague asked casually.
"Oh, nothing much. The Goddess just retrieved some data," the staff member replied.
It wasn't unusual for the Goddess of Wisdom, who managed the civilian logistics of the Human Alliance, to access the security systems of Azure Wave Star occasionally.
High above, Lin Yuan lay back on the clouds, gazing into the cosmos.
"If I go further, I’ll be outside Azure Wave Star's protection,” he thought.
Beyond the planet's shelter, the dangers of space—radiation, lack of oxygen—awaited anyone who wasn't at least at the sixth tier of evolution, making survival difficult.
"This is the starry sky," Lin Yuan whispered, entranced by the view.
For more than half an hour he remained this way, his heaven-defying comprehension allowing him to gain insights about the universe.
However, he sighed, realizing that despite his understanding, the vast universe was beyond his reach for now.
In the Dragon-Tiger World, it had taken him a decade to grasp the Taiji Yin-Yang Dao.
The boundless cosmos would require centuries or millennia, and he wasn’t ready yet.
Lin Yuan's insight depended on his level; the stronger he became, the more he understood.
It might be more practical to purchase evolution paths for understanding rather than relying on comprehending nature.
Evolution paths like the Martial Evolution Path offered deep analysis of specific roads and powers, akin to a student learning from textbooks instead of independently discovering the truths.
Despite having reverse-engineered the Martial Evolution Path, Lin Yuan realized he could perhaps instead offer paid lessons or videos on it, benefiting from collective learning.
Back at his apartment in the Water Moon District, Lin Yuan logged into the virtual world, entering his personal space.
The virtual world was divided into personal and public sections, the latter being the Central Plaza District and others.
Checking his messages, Lin Yuan saw over ten thousand unread ones.
They were mostly about the Martial Evolution Path, following the viral uploads of the "Heaven Phenomenon" and "Yin Yang" segments, which propelled the path to the top eight on the Azure Wave evolutions ranking.
Lin Yuan skimmed through the messages, many seeking to meet him, recruit him, or solicit his teachings for a price, like one offer of ten million Civilization Coins for three hours of guidance.
This tempted Lin Yuan; even his third-class citizen promotion gift barely matched this.
Narrating about the demands of the Martial Evolution Path, Lin Yuan saw potential in sharing knowledge widely rather than individually, like offering a class or paid instructional content, knowing practitioners would value guidance from the path's creator.
Connecting with the Goddess of Wisdom, Lin Yuan asked about the current stats of citizens practicing the Martial Evolution Path.
She replied that 1,232 had completed the "Innate Chapter," but none for the "Grandmaster Stage," highlighting the uniqueness of evolution here compared to the Dragon-Tiger World.
Reflecting on the similarities and differences with this advanced-world context, Lin Yuan saw how mixed resources—and not just personal talent—sped or slowed the evolution journey, like a short-course for innate level using earthly spiritual fruits within the Main World, which translated to accessible mystical herbs for common citizens.
The chapter concludes, offering more reflections and explorations into Lin Yuan's experiences across these worlds and the ongoing evolution of his skills and understanding.
