Though reaching the Innate Realm is relatively easy, progressing to the Grandmaster and Supreme Grandmaster stages is far more challenging, thought Lin Yuan quietly.
The Innate Realm corresponds to non-ranked Evolvers in the Universal Human Alliance, while a Grandmaster is a ranked Evolver.
To step into the Grandmaster Realm through the Martial Evolution Path requires complete mastery over one's own power, something that cannot be achieved with external aids.
In the virtual world of Azure Wave Star, within the Central Plaza District, Lin Yuan's figure suddenly appeared.
He looked up at the grand list from afar, noticing the words "Martial Evolution Path" etched on the eighth line.
The recent changes to the Evolution Ranking seemed to have brought more people to the Central Plaza.
"What's so mysterious about the Martial Evolution Path that it managed to climb into the top eight of the Evolution Ranking?"
"I heard the second phase of this evolution path involves the fusion and transformation of two extreme forces, which is how it shot up from the seventy-eighth place to the eighth."
"Fusion and transformation of extreme forces? Who on earth created this evolution path?"
"Not sure, but on Azure Wave Star, only a handful of scholars and research teams studying evolution paths could possibly have the foundation to develop this level of evolution path."
People in the plaza whispered among themselves, and Lin Yuan listened casually.
Those who could enter the virtual world were at least second-class citizens or Evolvers, with access to various sources of information.
There were many speculations about the Martial Evolution Path.
Some even speculated that the path might have been uploaded by scholars from other planets because such a potent evolution path was unknown until now.
Lin Yuan's expression remained calm.
The talkative crowd could never imagine that the creator of the Martial Evolution Path was someone like him, not even twenty years old and just graduated.
"There's no need to reveal my identity now," Lin Yuan thought to himself.
Now that the creator of the Martial Evolution Path had drawn attention from all sides, revealing his identity would bring more trouble than benefits.
True, with Lin Yuan's imminent elevation to fourth-class citizen status and the Goddess of Wisdom's attention, she could suppress any internal human dissent.
But what about external threats? What about the alien races? Lin Yuan, at just under twenty years old, had developed a Martial Evolution Path with the potential to reach the sixth stage.
On Azure Wave Star, or even in the nearby star domains, that would be exceptionally dazzling.
And the more dazzling he became, the more he would attract the attention of those alien races.
If it were just another high-stage Evolver, the aliens might not care.
After all, no matter how strong, an Evolver can only dominate for a period.
But if Lin Yuan truly expanded the Martial Evolution Path to the sixth stage...
A brand-new sixth-stage evolution path represented not just one sixth-stage Evolver, but a continuous influx of a group.
The aliens in the shadows would surely attempt to assassinate Lin Yuan.
Without him, the path could falter, making it difficult for followers to continue.
For this reason, Lin Yuan had to conceal his identity.
Even the Goddess of Wisdom suggested keeping it hidden.
Regarding his citizen rank, it's indeed suspicious to rise several levels in such a short time.
But who could know Lin Yuan gained the merit points for his rank increase by uploading the Martial Evolution Path? In the Universal Human Alliance, there are several ways to earn merit points, as long as one receives the approval of the Goddess of Wisdom and the other two goddesses.
In the Huayue District, Residence 118, this was a property gifted to Lin Yuan during a family banquet as an apology by the elder Chu Shiyu.
Although it couldn't match the mansions worth millions in the Water Moon District, it still cost five to six million, much better than the house Lin Yuan's family previously lived in.
Afterward, Lin Yuan had his parents move in, as he spent most of his time in Water Moon District and had no use for it.
In the morning, Lin Yuan sat on the living room sofa.
"Did I really become an Evolver?" His father, Lin Shoucheng, rushed out, filled with disbelief.
He felt a newfound strength flowing through him, a warm current coursing through his body.
"Xiao Yuan, what's all this about?” His mother, Lu Qiong, also couldn't believe it.
They had woken up to Lin Yuan announcing they were now Evolvers.
Initially, Lin Shoucheng and Lu Qiong didn’t believe him.
Becoming an Evolver wasn’t that easy.
All they heard about were evolution paths requiring harsh training, with a glimmer of hope after enduring it.
Recently, life had been peaceful; Lin Shoucheng's position rose thanks to Lin Yuan, granting them a smooth life without any prerequisites to become Evolvers.
But now, feeling their revitalized bodies and the continuous ‘warm flow’ within, the couple was understandably shocked.
"Don't worry, I purchased a special serum used while you were asleep. Upon waking, you became Evolvers."
Lin Yuan explained with a smile.
In reality, Lin Yuan had simply cleansed their bodies last night.
With his abilities, even basic cleansing could vastly enhance their physiques to meet Evolver standards.
"Wasn't that special serum expensive? Xiao Yuan, don't spend unnecessarily. Your dad and I didn't have to be Evolvers."
Lu Qiong immediately responded with concern.
Lin Shoucheng nodded alongside.
They had heard that even the least expensive genetic serum cost a million civilization coins, and it required specific permissions.
For both of them, it would be two million, an amount unattainable in their lifetime.
"Rest assured, it wasn't expensive, just a benefit for Evolvers," Lin Yuan said casually.
The cleansing wasn't draining for him at all.
With the interplay of lunar and solar energies, his strength returned within a few breaths.
Moreover, the cleansing was far more effective than genetic serums.
Genetic serums replace a few genes in the body for enhancement, permanently setting one on a specific evolution path.
In contrast, cleansing simply boosted the physique.
Regardless of which evolution path they chose in the future, their strong constitution would make it much easier.
"Ah ah ah ah, I want to be an Evolver too, brother," Lin Yi, his sister, came over, her big eyes blinking at Lin Yuan.
"You're still too young."
"There's no rush. Wait a few more years," Lin Yuan dismissed casually, ignoring his sister's downcast face.
Although Lin Yi didn’t believe it, it was true.
Even if a cleansing was performed, it required the body to fully mature first.
Otherwise, it could lead to stunted growth and other consequences.
"I never imagined I, Lin Shoucheng, would become an Evolver in my lifetime," Lin Shoucheng said, feeling emotional.
Typically, it's the son who relies on the father for success, but now it was the opposite.
During the night, in the Water Moon District, Lin Yuan sat cross-legged in the underground training ground, a light screen before him displaying various evolution paths.
After recovering all his strength, Lin Yuan decided to purchase an evolution path to refine and perfect his martial skills.
The paths he considered were at the fourth and fifth stages, and buying one directly was not cheap.
Given his current finances, he could only choose one.
After much consideration, Lin Yuan finally narrowed it down to three evolution paths:
- The Golem Evolution Path
- The Primordial Force Evolution Path
- The All-Phase Evolution Path
