Longsword of the Late Jin Dynasty
Action · Adventure · Historical · Mature · Wuxia
As Tang Dynasty poet Xu Yin wrote in his poem "The Two Jins": "For three generations they schemed to establish the imperial foundation, Yet left behind widows and orphans to pity. Heaven’s wrath fell on Chengji for their crimes, The wise ruler violated, an eternal sorrow." The Western Jin gained its empire through improper means, riddled with errors and inheriting countless flaws from the Eastern Han and the Three Kingdoms period. By the late Jin era, the empire was beyond repair, desperately needing a reformation of its values and governance. Yet, as the saying goes, "Who could have foreseen the high-nosed invaders calculating their moves, Raising their battle banners across the Central Plains?" History gave them no such opportunity. Their downfall was of their own making, and they could not escape it. A transmigrator arrives in the crumbling final years of the Western Jin. What he must do first is simple—survive.
