Confusion, Confusion.
The Sword Demon, after checking the parchment, spoke in a composed tone.
"Zhang Bo Dou?"
The woman in red laughed.
"The Moonflower blooms and withers at will. Watching it, there are times it does not bloom for ten years. Shouldn't there be those to ease the boredom of such intervals? Our palace's servants could use some replenishment as well. Still, those who come this far can't be foolish, can they?"
"What difference does this make from the sect leader?"
"Why should those living in the martial world be treated as humans? If the Moonflower bloomed here and I were a weak woman, every martial artist would have attacked me. To think the one called the Sword Demon would speak such trivial words. Are you suffering from a bout of madness? You are speaking nonsense."
The woman in red glanced at the seated figure practicing breathing techniques and then turned her gaze toward me.
"Now, you must know that I have been managing the Moonflower here. How will you compensate me? Speak up."
The Sword Demon also looked at me.
It seemed the woman in red was being unreasonable, leaving him at a loss for words.
I addressed the woman in red, who I presumed was the sect leader's junior sister.
