Thud.
A teacup was placed on the table.
Wrinkles had formed on the once fine and beautiful hands, and Roman Dmitry couldn't take his eyes off the teacup.
“It’s herbal tea. They say it’s good for preventing aging, so I drink it every day. But my son, you look exactly the same as you did 30 years ago.”
His mother smiled.
As she sat across from him, he lifted the teacup and took a sip.
It was warm.
The fact that his mother and father were still healthy, the fact that he could meet them again like this, made Roman Dmitry’s heart feel warm.
After hearing the truth of Dmitry, the part that worried him the most was his parents’ health.
30 years was enough time that it wouldn't have been strange for them to have returned to nature's embrace, but while the traces of time were evident on his parents, their complexions seemed even better than before.
Romero Dmitry said, “Don’t even mention it. Your mother insisted that our son would definitely return, and for the past 30 years, she’s fed me dozens of things that are good for my health every single day. Look at me. At my age, everyone should be sick in a corner of their room, but I’m so full of energy that I’ve started working in the Forge again. I’m not as good as I used to be, but I wanted to make you a fine sword when you came back.”
