“Let you in?” Yu Zhenren gave a dry laugh. “Let you in how? The gate isn’t under my control. Do you expect me to go pay a visit to the Heavenly Realm and secretly open it for you?”
The man smiled. “To be honest, even if the True Immortal were willing, I wouldn’t dare. Once you step through that gate it’s a net of heaven and earth — I’m not a fool.”
Yu Zhenren asked, “Then what do you mean?”
“Do you know why I can’t come in?” the man asked.
“I don’t,” Yu said.
“In the past, this world was thrown into disorder from above — I could slip in from the Heavenly Realm. Now it is the Netherworld that is chaotic — I can enter from below. But both of those passages have been overlapped and shifted by great supernatural workings onto the gate; whether you go by heaven or by earth, you end up having to go through the gate. Now the gate is being watched by Qin Yi, so I cannot go in — I’m not going to recklessly batter the door when I know a whole crowd is waiting there.”
Yu Zhenren smiled faintly. “So? That still means you have to open the gate.”
