Before leaving the Martial Alliance, Seolhwa discussed her plan for dealing with Namgung Mucheon and the Blood Lords.
“First, I plan to fight as the Shadowless Demon God in this battle. I’ll take responsibility for the Southern Wastes Beast Palace, so please handle the Northern Sea Ice Palace, Grandfather.”
At Seolhwa’s earnest request, Namgung Mucheon nodded.
“I shall do so.”
So her plan had been to divide their forces and face them separately?
“I’ll lead the Martial Alliance’s martial division and try to stop the Northern Sea Ice Palace’s advance south.”
“No.” Seolhwa shook her head.
“The goal of this engagement is not to fight.”
Namgung Mucheon’s brows lowered.
“Not to fight?”
“Yes.”
Seolhwa nodded and continued.
“As you know, Grandfather, the Martial Alliance’s strength has already weakened. Our morale has also fallen considerably because of what happened with the Sichuan Tang Family and Kunlun.”
“That is true.”
Gu Yang-do, Kunlun, and the Sichuan Tang Family had all suffered blows to their forces at the same time. Their weakened strength was a problem, but as Seolhwa had said, the greatest enemy was the distrust and fear spreading throughout the Martial Alliance.
“So it would be dangerous to confront them head-on right now. The imperial palace probably wouldn’t be able to properly prepare for an invasion by outside forces, either.”
