After giving birth and resting for a few days, her master set out on the road again together with the Emei Sect Elder. She arrived safely at Mount Emei and became a formal disciple of the Emei Sect, receiving the Daoist name ‘Sihyeong’.
What happened at the mountain fortress and the unwanted child were buried as secrets known only to the Emei Sect Elder and Sihyeong. Sihyeong’s martial talent was so outstanding it exceeded the Elder’s expectations. Even though she was already twenty-three, an age late to begin martial arts with her bone growth finished, she showed extraordinary achievement from the very start.
Her height and build were average, but her explosive agility was good, and her intuition for grasping the principles of martial arts was exceptional. Starting from the very back row, within just ten years she became one of the most skilled masters in the Emei Sect.
And that same year, she assumed the position of Hall Master of the Great Serenity Hall, the youngest ever. Three years later, the Elder—the lifelong benefactor who had saved her from bandits and taken her as a disciple—passed away from a chronic illness.
