The covenant races whose inheritance was still relatively intact were furious. They had kept faith with their ancestors' will and stood guard over the world boundary, never slackening for a thousand years, all to keep the broken Source from being damaged any further. Yet now the very Dragon-Slaying Organization that had made them that promise had started a war of its own accord, spreading a forbidden secret art far and wide. They felt they had been deceived, and so they came out of their ancestral lands one after another and marched on the Race Union Zone.
They wanted the Dragon-Slaying Organization to answer for it.
The war faction paid them no mind, of course. They even killed the covenant races' envoys outright when they came to negotiate, precisely to enrage them. As far as the war faction was concerned, so long as the war could grow bigger, they did not care in the least how many enemies they made.
But the stability faction had a headache on its hands. On one side they had to deal with the war faction's attacks, crazed to the point of ignoring any loss; on the other, they had to placate the races who knew the truth of what had happened back then. The whole mess kept them running themselves ragged, and for the moment they could not even spare the manpower to hunt Adam down.
