The moment Adam rose from the ground on both feet, the ice field left by his dragon breath began melting at a furious rate. Lina finally managed to put away her dumbstruck expression; seeing that her master had already flown into the forest, she hurriedly pulled a few seeds from her bosom and flung them at the ground. Emerald-green vines shot up at once, coiled around the four blocks of ice, and dragged them through the air as she raced after Adam.
Lina hesitated, then asked cautiously, "Master, are they dead?"
The forest was dense. With his wings unspread, Adam's height just barely let him squeeze through, but there was no way to spread the wings fully, so he simply kept up an evocation spell in front of himself — ten ice swords cutting in endless rotation — and carved out a path through the forest.
