After a moment of blankness, Adam and the devil arrived in that command headquarters hidden inside a fold of space. Only once they were inside and looking out did they realize that the place was actually an enormous airship.
Adam planted himself wherever there was room and watched the scene on Ceylon Island through the portholes and the huge split-screen light screens.
Unrecognizable. Devastated.
Those were the two most fitting words Adam could think of. The crater blasted out by the railgun was plainly visible to the naked eye, and on the light screens every city was broken walls and ruined buildings, every forest and wild field without a trace of life.
The trial apprentices had been like a natural disaster, plundering Ceylon Island to the point of ecological extinction.
