Justice and the Underworld
I was able to mediate the dispute between Ares, Aphrodite, and Eos to a reasonable extent.
Still, calming Aphrodite's anger was quite a challenge.
[Aphrodite, please don’t be so angry and listen quietly]
[Hades?!]
[If Eos has taken Ares from you, is there anything preventing you from taking him back? I doubt the charm of the goddess of love and beauty is inferior to that of the goddess of dawn.]
[...
But.]
I reminded her of the contributions Eos had made until now and persuaded her that the desire for free love was not something Aphrodite, who wanted to divorce the smith god, could deny...
"Lady Eos, it is not right to covet Ares, who already has a partner."
"Is that a judgment made as the goddess of justice?"
"... Anyone would answer that way. Although they haven't formally married, Ares has already had children with Aphrodite..."
I scolded Lady Eos and gave Ares a piece of my mind as well...
However, I did not use the power of justice in all of this.
It was not the divine scales of Dike, but there was an unpleasant feeling if something was amiss.
This is indeed the power and duty of justice.
But I would not be swayed by it.
I would make a judgment that was appropriate with my reason.
