Time flowed swiftly, and before one knew it, decades had passed like flowing clouds.
The True Immortal cultivated quietly within the mansion.
Several days ago, he had completed the grand opening of the mansion.
Almost all the disciples with the generation name “Shi” had left; most of the disciples had already descended the mountain, none willing to look back.
Since opening his mansion, only two disciples had chosen to stay and cultivate in secret: one was the Great Sage Water Monkey, and the other was Zhao Shifan.
Beyond these two, no disciple wished to remain.
The True Immortal observed quietly among them.
After the opening of the mansion was complete, he did not recruit any more disciples.
He simply cultivated in peace within the mansion and occasionally taught the disciples who remained some of the sect’s principles.
It was a very tranquil time.
One day, Sun Wukong entered the quiet chamber, seeking the True Immortal, asking him to come back to consciousness and receive his guest.
The True Immortal invited Sun Wukong into the quiet room, offering him some celestial apricots as a welcome.
Smiling, he said, “Junior brother, you have come to find me today. For what matter?”
