Xie Lian's eyes suddenly widened in shock.
He looked utterly disbelieving.
"What’s wrong?" San Lang asked.
Xie Lian was at a loss for words.
Anger, sadness, and the feeling of being deceived surged in him, all mingling with his blood, and he slammed his palm down on the table.
Through gritted teeth, he said, "So, it was you!"
The table couldn't withstand his strike and shattered into pieces.
Fortunately, there were no other patrons on the second floor of the tavern, or they would have surely been frightened away.
With no weapon in hand, Xie Lian struck the table again.
San Lang merely tilted his head slightly, remaining seated.
His palm sank into the wall behind him, dust and debris falling like rain, yet he remained unperturbed, crossing his arms and lifting his eyelashes.
"Daozhang, what do you mean by that?"
Xie Lian felt his face ablaze and could only guess how red he was.
With the other hand cracking his knuckles in anger, he fumed, "Don’t play dumb! You know exactly what you did to me…"
San Lang raised an eyebrow, appearing seemingly innocent.
"Unfortunately, I really don’t know what I did to make you this angry. Could you enlighten me?"
Xie Lian was speechless.
This person really acted as if he wanted to hear it from him.
