#104 The Prosecutor's Overreach. In the 1970s, while still a young man in his twenties, Representative Yoon Hyeong-min benchmarked the legal services in America and introduced them to Korea. He brought over the American system but adapted it to the Korean situation, fitting it to the market.
And in just ten years, he made Yoon & Jang the top law firm in the country. It was now a company ranked within the top three in Asia. It was also the law firm that the prosecution and other domestic firms most disliked facing.
“Chief Prosecutor Ha, am I mistaken about something?”
“No, you are not. Mr. Kim Mu-hyeok’s charges are so clear that we are proceeding with the investigation here.”
“Is that so? What are the charges?”
When Representative Yoon Hyeong-min asked, the chief prosecutor could not answer readily. Yoon Hyeong-min shook his head as if he had expected as much.
“If the charges are so clear and certain, you should have applied for an arrest warrant. You brought him in through voluntary accompaniment. Are you still under the illusion that this is the era of the military regime?”
“Let’s stop here, Representative Yoon.”
The reply came from behind Representative Yoon Hyeong-min. It was the appearance of Chief Prosecutor Bae Beom-gyu.
