Hu Li was a very clever girl.
As soon as Yu Sheng gave her that little reminder, she quickly caught on.
“You felt it too, right?” Yu Sheng looked at Hu Li blinking her eyes, then spoke calmly, “The Ominous Wandering Star, the Ominous Goddess, the Ominous Banner, that room at the end of the second floor that keeps leaking stuff out from time to time, and the various other clues that popped up for all sorts of reasons... All these clues and pieces of information give me the feeling that it’s like…”
Yu Sheng paused, thinking carefully before continuing cautiously, “It’s like they have consciousness, you know? These ‘messages’ related to the Ominous Goddess—they seem alive. It’s like they’re actively moving towards us, or more precisely, moving towards Eilin—as if they’re drilling out from behind some kind of barrier, and recently the drilling is getting faster and faster.”
He let out a soft breath and looked up at the little figurine grinding the stone ball on the small plaza below.
