As the car window descended with a soft sound, Yu Sheng's first thought upon seeing Ren Wenwen was, "The male lead and his motorcycle would get along splendidly."
Immediately, he tensed up, and only after a moment did he take a closer look at her, saying, "So, the Special Operations Bureau sent you? Are you stationed near my home now?"
At his words, Ren Wenwen seemed taken aback, processing what he said for a couple of seconds before responding, "Ah, no, I just happened to be running an errand here and passed by your place."
Yu Sheng scrutinized her, hoping to detect any signs of deceit on her face, but she appeared completely sincere.
"I’m a logistics staff member," Ren Wenwen added earnestly, "I usually don’t go out unless it’s to deliver documents or run errands—your neighborhood is definitely monitored by the action department colleagues..."
Yu Sheng couldn’t help but chuckle.
"You didn’t deny the whole ‘stationed’ thing."
"I think you can guess that, after all, ‘No. 66 Wutong Road’ is quite a unique location," she smiled.
"But if you mind, I could report back..."
"No need for that. You won't really move your station, so there’s no point in going through that process," Yu Sheng waved his hand dismissively.
