For the attacking side to mount the city walls so soon after a siege battle began was an exceedingly rare sight in all of history. Originally, the army of the Enwei Demon Kingdom had expected the city walls alone to hold Viola back for at least half a month.
To that end, they had prepared vast quantities of rolling stones and logs to be used in the defense. But now, all of it was for naught. The heavy downpour was actually a disadvantage for the attackers.
Not only did they have to charge to the base of the city walls through the rain, but they also had to climb up while being pelted by raindrops. The drain on their stamina was far greater than under normal conditions.
However, for this rain to arrive so coincidentally and to so precisely cool the red-hot city walls, it looked intentional no matter how you saw it. The good news was that despite the thick smoke, at least people could now get onto the walls. The military officers hurriedly commanded their soldiers to go up and stop Viola's army.
