The sword passed through the sword, as if through an identical blade. At first, I thought Linmel had somehow gained the ability to render parts of an object intangible. At least, until I checked with Tide Sense. -...thud.
"...Ugh, that feels awful."
Along with the doll's head, Linmel's sword fell. It had been nearly severed from the start. The blade, barely held together, met the exact point where the doll had struck and split in two, just as it had been originally.
But that didn't mean the severed sword's inertia had vanished. The flashing edge fulfilled its duty, slicing through the doll's neck, and Linmel, looking at the doll's face with visible distaste, brushed herself off.
"Hmm..."
Watching her own doll get cut apart, Arwin's eyes widened slightly, as if taken by surprise. She then addressed Linmel, who was settling back into a fighting stance, her interest seemingly piqued.
"Do you wish to die?"
"? No. Is that a threat?"
"Simple curiosity. That sword was likely already cut through from the beginning. To make your opponent drop their guard."
"Yeah."
Linmel agreed readily.
"I covered the cut so it wasn't visible. You fell for it, didn't you?"
