What if there was a person who had never had a single sip of alcohol in their entire life? If you were to give that person a bottle of the finest, perfectly aged wine, one of such quality that a professional sommelier would marvel at it, how would they react?
Unfortunately, their impression would be little more than that of a richly scented, grape-flavored alcohol. They might not even be able to tell if they drank wine or fruit-flavored soju. The reason is simple.
They have never tasted any other alcohol. But if that day awakens their palate to wine, and they begin to indiscriminately taste other, cheaper wines, a day of realization will eventually come. That first wine I drank was truly of the finest quality.
That was my exact situation right now.
"Mimicry really was a big catch."
[...Ah.........]
Within the Deep Sea, stained red with blood. I slowly crushed the corpse of the ninth fallen one an outer god had descended upon, clenching and unclenching my fist. 'Only three times larger now.'
Only after devouring nine outer gods had its size tripled. The domain I first possessed was entirely from Mimicry, which meant Mimicry alone held a domain equal to about three other outer gods. If I had not begun my life as an outer god by devouring that one, this method of hunting would have run into problems.
[Ruler of the Deep Sea....]
"Huh?"
