"N-no..."
"What is all this?"
I casually ignored the gaping No. 1 and, while still on my knees, answered Amya’s question.
"Compared to the grace you have shown me, I felt I was doing too little, so I brought a few more family members. I hope this does not cause you any trouble."
"... This is something you should not have done."
Gritting his teeth, No. 1 glared at me and took a step forward. He seemed to be trying to hide his hostility in front of Amya, but when I used Tide Sense, I could feel his heart pounding quite furiously. It seemed this wasn't the situation he had wanted.
It was an act of turning the fallen ones into nothing more than his own servants. He couldn't possibly approve of it. Still, since we were companions heading toward the same goal, he would tolerate a certain amount, but what I had just done had far crossed that line.
Amya looked at the thirty fallen ones, as if disappointed, and shook her head.
"I’m sorry, brother, but I think you’ll have to send them back, leaving only three. No matter how little interest they have in the Lower World, to do this by force..."
"No. It was not by force."
"Hmm?"
Of course.
