Lan Ting came to the guest room to deliver clothes.
The clothes were of no use to her, but it would be rude to just send her away.
“Lan junior sister, come in and sit for a bit?”
“All right.” Lan Ting entered and noticed a half-eaten spiritual fruit by the door.
“I didn’t hold it steady just now, it accidentally dropped,” Lu Yang said as he picked up the fruit, embarrassed, wiped it clean and continued eating.
Both of them had a hard time hopping up onto the chairs.
Lu Yang took the initiative and brought up the matter of his shrinking.
“Have you found out who poisoned the laurel trees yet?”
This was the culprit that had caused him to shrink; Lu Yang swore that if he caught the criminal, he would bring them to justice.
“Not yet. From the investigation we found that thirty-six laurel trees had been tampered with—some made larger, some made smaller—of various ages. The two trees used for mooncake filling and the one you chopped down, Senior Brother, were among them.”
Lu Yang pressed his forehead helplessly.
