Early the next morning Chu Ge sat in meditation with the clam pearl's help as usual. While he got up and went for his run, Qiu Wuji washed up; while he washed up after his run, Qiu Wuji made breakfast; and then the two of them sat down to eat together.
Over breakfast, whenever their eyes happened to meet, both of them were thinking of what it had felt like yesterday to be the one pinned down and made small, and they'd drop their gazes and sip their congee.
Each of them seemed to have forgotten the glorious moments when they had been on top, remembering only that the other one had bullied them.
Then they turned their heads away from each other, each with a little "Hmph," both thinking about how they were going to bully the other once it was their turn to play teacher today.
Qiu Wuji thought that durian training method from before had been really excellent. What a pity she couldn't talk him into it anymore.
Chu Ge's head was full of nothing but getting her to rub his shoulders.
