Changing Fate is This Difficult.
The place guided by Lady Blood Night was a luxurious estate known as Suwolok (Water Moon House), but I couldn't tell if it was a restaurant, an inn, or a tavern.
I had little experience in high-end places.
As I entered and looked around, it seemed to serve all purposes.
They sold food and alcohol, and there were beautifully decorated independent spaces scattered throughout.
It was an extravagant inn meant for distinguished guests.
As I settled into an independent space, I watched the attendants treat the lady with utmost respect.
Even though I hadn’t ordered anything, light dishes began to appear.
Seeing how everyone was treating the lady with such reverence, I asked, "Lady Blood Night, have you danced with a sword here before?"
Lady Blood Night responded with a puzzled expression, "What on earth are you talking about?"
"Everyone is treating you with such respect."
She shook her head slightly and replied, "This place was built with the palace's funds. We cannot accept offerings indiscriminately, so it is managed by a capable merchant, and a portion of the profits comes back to the palace. Essentially, I am the owner here."
"Ah."
I was taken aback and looked at Lady Blood Night again. 'What a fascinating woman.'
