My Plan Is Like This.
I held onto the fishing rod, yet I did not catch any fish.
Sometimes, I pondered why men like Jiang Taigong, from ancient tales, would cast their rods without reeling in any fish.
Perhaps they disliked cooking fish, just like I did.
Maybe the scales turned their appetites away.
Or perhaps they simply disliked catfish.
In any case, I gazed at the tranquil Jingping Lake, casting my rod like Jiang Taigong, lost in thought.
My interest in Jiang Taigong stemmed from his words: "Once water is spilled, it cannot be gathered back."
This was what he said when his wife, who had left him during his days of poverty, returned upon hearing he had become a lord.
Look at his temperament.
I thought Jiang Taigong must have been a man like me.
In truth, no book mentions that Jiang Taigong practiced martial arts.
Yet, I am convinced he was a man skilled in martial arts.
He was a descendant of the Flame Emperor, known as Shennong.
The name of the Flame Emperor is not strange as a nickname for a hero of the martial world, especially for someone like me who has mastered the Flame Realm included in the Golden Valley Soaring Palace.
Jiang Taigong was known for defeating many enemies with a small force, like in the battle known as the Wood Cliff War.
