If you draw your sword, you must die.
I awoke to the smell of rice.
Thankful that I hadn’t caught the scent of poison, I rubbed the sleep from my eyes.
After gazing at the sunlight streaming through the window for a moment, I got up and headed toward the source of the delicious aroma.
Upon arriving in the main hall, I found the leaders of the faction, including the chief leader I had seen yesterday, gathered around, eating.
They all stopped eating and turned to look at me.
I plopped down into an empty seat and said in a low voice, “Give me rice.”
“……”
As I received chopsticks from the leader beside me and began to eat the side dishes, the meal resumed in silence.
While eating, the chief leader spoke to me. “The tribute left last night.”
I nodded, rummaging through the tasteless vegetables before starting on an unknown fried dish.
As I continued to eat in silence, the chief leader asked, “Soon, the Sword Conference and Namcheonryeon will clash, right?”
“Probably.”
“We are worried even if Namcheonryeon wins.”
“Why?”
