In the several days since regaining consciousness, the Dean had devoted herself to recovering. As a result, she was now well enough to move around fairly normally. It was unfortunate that she could no longer use magic because of the rebound, but there was nothing to be done about that.
“It’s about time I left.”
The Dean began preparing to go out. According to Isaac, when she had fallen inside the event horizon to close the isolated system, Doloren and Daat had forcibly taken control of it. That was supposedly why the Dean had regained consciousness sooner than expected.
If so, what had Isaac’s apparition been that she saw at the time? There was no way to know whether it had been real or false, but she decided to believe the words of the real Isaac. According to him, Doloren and Daat were the benefactors who had saved Magarta.
For that reason, the Dean chose to visit the two of them in the hospital. The Dean spoke to her secretary.
“You’re ready, aren’t you?”
“Yes.”
The secretary brought a carriage around to the Dean. After once again taking care of the Dean, the secretaries seemed somewhat depressed for some reason. The Dean, however, paid no attention to such things.
She boarded the carriage and headed for the mansion on the outskirts of the capital where the two were said to be staying in secret.
Clatter, clatter.
