The secretarial office of the Upperhills Foundation recently changed its name. To keep pace with the rapidly changing society, it shed its passive name of ‘secretarial office’ and took on the name of Planning and Coordination Office. Outside the foundation, people viewed this change as a massive structural shift and pricked up their ears.
What is Isaac’s true intent? What purpose drives him to reform his advisory staff? However, within the Upperhills Foundation itself, this did not become a particularly big deal.
Because word of a brief conversation between Isaac and Laura had spread by word of mouth.
“Wouldn’t it be fitting for you to have a splendid title as well, Miss Laura?”
“...Pardon?”
“What do you think about taking charge of the Future Strategy Office or the Planning and Coordination Office instead of the secretarial office?”
“What exactly is the difference between those?”
Laura herself preferred the name of secretary, but Isaac’s stance was firm. It seemed as if Isaac, not her, was the one yearning to be called by a splendid name. Thus, to live up to the expectations of the chairman, Laura became the head of the Planning and Coordination Office.
