A medium-sized immortal ship sailed through the clouds, within one of its cabins, a man and a woman drank heartily and devoured the delicious food set before them.
"Delicious!"
The woman displayed a vigor that was entirely at odds with her petite frame of about five and a half feet, as she lifted a large jug of wine and gulped it down fiercely.
"The meals from Three Pure Mountains made me lose my mind! It wasn’t even a monk's temple, yet they served such bland food. Even the meat had to be prepared to remove its stench using spells."
She bit into a large chicken leg, getting grease all over her face, her voice tinged with a playful yet profound tone.
"A bear eats the skin, not the meat. Living beings seek sustenance just for a taste of oil and grease. If cultivation means giving up wine and meat, then what’s the point?"
The man in green robes sipped his wine lightly and said, "For most, the greatest hindrance to cultivation actually comes from within. One can only tame oneself through inhuman behavior to achieve a tranquil mind."
"Then what's the use of cultivating immortality? It's better for ordinary folk to lead a settled life."
The red-clad girl scoffed at this; she had always been a prodigy and could hardly empathize with the ordinary.
