Hearing Ye Ziyun mumble to herself, Nie Li couldn't help but chuckle a little.
"Ziyun, it’s good to see you again," Nie Li greeted with a wave, a playful smile spreading across his face.
Ye Ziyun looked up, her confused and innocent gaze landing on Nie Li.
She seemed stunned for a moment before jumping up as if she had stepped on a grasshopper.
"What are you doing here?" A hint of panic flashed in her eyes.
"Why can’t I come?" Nie Li grinned.
"I’ve decided to stay here with Xiao Yu from now on!" He surveyed the area, his gaze settling on a small building nearby.
"From now on, let's live here."
Ye Ziyun quickly pushed against Nie Li's arm, urging him to leave, her voice urgent.
"Nie Li, are you trying to get yourself killed? My father will kill you! You need to go, quickly! If he catches you, you're as good as dead!"
Nie Li felt a stir of emotion at her concern, but quickly masked it with a playful attitude, widening his eyes in feigned surprise.
"Didn’t your father tell you?"
"Told me what?" Ye Ziyun asked, puzzled.
Nie Li slapped his forehead, pretending to understand at last.
"Oh, so you really don’t know!"
"Know what?" Ye Ziyun paused, confusion written all over her face.
"Your father has already agreed," Nie Li said, matter-of-factly.
