Li Zhaowen walked briskly through the alleys of Chen Kingdom, humming the tune of the poem that the young man had just recited. As she moved forward, the moonlight and starlight were gradually overtaken by the bright lights ahead.
Li Zhaowen stopped in her tracks, remaining in the shadows.
She extended her hand to adjust her clothing and collar, her smile fading as she resumed the composed demeanor of a young master from a noble family. She opened her folding fan, which displayed a landscape painting on one side and four elegant characters on the other, and walked back to her residence with an air of nonchalance.
"Second Young Master has returned!"
Her attendants had already come forward. Li Zhaowen tossed her folding fan aside and washed her hands in the golden basin brought to her. The attendants then retreated to pay their respects to her father before returning to her courtyard. Changsun Wugou helped her remove her outer robe, and after bathing and changing, she donned a fresh set of clothes.
Under the lamp, she perused the documents, while Changsun Wuchou presented the items to her, and Li Zhaowen began to review them.
Changsun Wugou asked, "What would Second Young Master like to drink? Is it the same as usual?"
