The wind lifted the silver hair at the girl's temples, her expression distant and tranquil.
The sleeves of her robe were dyed white under the moonlight, exuding a divine detachment that made Li Guanyi suddenly understand the line from the poem, "I wish to ride the wind and return."
Then Li Guanyi saw the girl lower her head, gazing at the height from the wall to the ground.
She pursed her lips.
Crouching down, she stretched out her hand to measure the height, her face slightly paling.
Then she raised her head to look at the young man over there.
Her face still bore no expression.
Li Guanyi smiled, tossing the scroll in his hand, the white paper scattering in the moonlight like butterflies, and then he quickly walked to the corner of the wall, still lifting his hands as before. The girl blinked, first crouching down.
Then she sat in the corner of the wall.
Swinging her legs, she moved her body in rhythm.
There was no hesitation or doubt.
She jumped down.
Her silver hair elongated under the moonlight.
Li Guanyi felt his palm touch the girl's knee and lower leg, the sensation beneath the thin fabric, and then a gust of wind collided with him. If his golden skin and jade bones were to react, they would send Yao Guang flying backward, dissipating the force.
The young man fell to the ground.
