“You worthless whelp!”
“!”
The subordinates thought Pasher was furious with the other guilds, but the thing that truly angered him was himself.
He could not forgive that, while he obsessed over beating rival guilds, a young student risked his life to fight a monster alone and they did nothing.
Pasher trembled with rage and shouted, “Let’s go!”
“Huh?”
“I said follow me!”
Why was he like this? The old fisherman’s outburst made those below worry.
Picking a fight with outsiders would bring nothing but trouble.
Even if friction with the other guilds was severe, outsiders wouldn’t understand—it would only make matters worse.
They should be as polite and respectful as possible in persuasion, not start enmity...
Professor Voladi and Ihan, emerging from the reef, watched in bewilderment as the fishermen approached with angry faces.
“What’s going on?” Ihan asked.
“Fishermen,” Voladi replied as if it was nothing.
Ihan frowned and asked carefully, “They seem really angry… has something happened?”
There were too many possibilities to pin down.
From what he’d heard from Professor Thunderstride, the nearby guilds had been on edge due to long-standing friction, and naturally they regarded outsiders with complicated feelings.
Besides, the Shadow Patrol hunters were not exactly polite, soft-spoken gentlemen.
