Leo, at the beginning, lacked experience and cautiously hid, using a forged identity to make a living by taking on odd jobs. However, this kind of life was incredibly difficult, especially since he had a poor temperament and struggled to interact with others. Eventually, one day, he was fired once more, becoming so destitute that he had no food to eat. Taking a gamble, he finally walked down the perilous path of technology leading to crime.

Now, he enjoyed great success, gaining respect and admiration, and people praised him with grand titles such as "Creator, Awakener of the Deceased, Pioneer of Technology, Forbidden Arts Sorcerer, Resurrector, God of Good Fortune, Hope of the Dead, the Great Precursor Lord Leo Parker."

"..." Han Yanyan tossed aside her book, rubbing her temples, feeling a headache coming on.

Leo dashed through the wild path of research, fueled by his dissatisfaction with the present world. Initially, he was obsessed with simulation technology, aiming to create a world just for himself. Since there were precedents of experimenting on the dead, he stopped using living subjects, opting instead for the subconscious of the deceased locked within psychic sources, which could represent the surface consciousness. If they died... well, they were already declared dead by medical standards and the law.

As a result, the dead were revived. Those declared "dead" by hospitals came back to life in Leo's hands.

Thus, Leo gained immense fame, beginning to make a living from this, amassing considerable wealth. Yet, he had little interest in food, drink, or leisure. All the money he earned was funneled back into research. Sometimes, he didn’t charge clients money but directly demanded hard-to-obtain machines or parts as payment.

His actions not only violated the "Fundamental Laws of Universal Dimensions and Life" but also transgressed multiple nations' "Technology Management Act" and "Life Ethics Law." As a result, he was wanted in several countries. He avoided getting involved in any political factions. The universe was vast, and with his fast spaceship, he preferred to remain in a political vacuum.

Moreover, because his forbidden technology only served the upper echelons of society, those at the pinnacle of the pyramid valued their lives more than others. Many turned a blind eye to his existence, giving him a free pass.

Such was Leo's exaggerated boasting about his contributions to the system.

Han Yanyan walked over to the window and saw the robotic machines mowing the lawn in the manor's courtyard. The male and female servants, dressed in matching uniforms, hurried about, each performing their duties, reflecting the lifestyle and status of their powerful masters.

Perfect, she thought blankly, I’ve been kidnapped by a crazy foreign scientist, used for scientific research, or rather, I’m just a slave, a money-making machine. Even she found it hard to believe she was currently inside a spaceship in outer space.

And this world before her, all of these people, they were all fake, merely data.

Han Yanyan stood at the window for a long time, sorting through the information she gathered from "The Leo Chronicles." It was evident from his many "success stories" that he had increasingly strayed from "conscience" or "law," making it a norm to go back on his word and betray others. He claimed he had caught her because the yao was too difficult to handle, having killed three of his Constructors. But even if she managed to revive the yao, would Leo truly let her go home?

He had indeed spared some Constructors, but that was only because they had all gone mad.

In a world where even the dust on the bookshelves looked so realistic, after passing through countless years and countless worlds, how could one not go crazy?

On this day, everyone—servants, drivers, classmates, club staff, even Han Yanyan's father—noticed her unusual coldness towards them.

Cold to the bone, as if they were no longer flesh and blood, no need to care about.

...

...

Leo woke up.

Using a deep compression sleep pod, Leo still felt restless during his slumber. The moment he opened his eyes, he felt an unsettling twitch in his eyelid.

He recalled Han Yanyan and cursed under his breath. For some reason, he felt that this damned woman was still going to cause him trouble. While enjoying this fully automated grooming process, he mumblingly asked, “How’s Han Yanyan doing? Is she still obedient?”

The system replied, “Very quiet.”

Just as Leo began to relax, he heard the system say, “Still in the simulation world.”

Leo spat out the mouthwash in shock and exclaimed, “What? Still in there? How long have I been asleep?”

“Five hours. Due to deep compression sleep, the effects are equivalent to 1.5 times normal sleep, amounting to 7.5 hours of rest,” the system explained.

“Stop with the nonsense! Why is she still in that world? Five hours is enough for her to resolve everything!” Leo hurriedly threw on his clothes and rushed to the control room, “Could it be the time acceleration wasn't adjusted? Is it running slow?”

The team overseeing the yao had shifts; some watched over the yao's body while others monitored the control room to prevent that infamous mad scientist from doing anything outrageous. Leo was quite displeased, but considering the other side had firearms, he had no choice but to yield and endure in his own ship, letting others take command.

He hurried into the control room and climbed into the cockpit, pulling up the data to glance at the screen, "Huh, what's going on?" Han Yanyan's behavior trajectory and the target's task behavior trajectory, after a minimal initial interaction, diverged into two parallel lines.

Leo looked at the time records and nearly exploded with rage!

In this world, Han Yanyan had not interacted with the task target at all, yet she had accelerated the time flow to an extreme degree, leisurely living in the world for over twenty years! What was she playing at!?

That damned woman!!!

Glancing again at the task target, under Han Yanyan's arrangement and manipulation, the target was leading a steady life, steadily working hard, becoming an ordinary but outstanding person. This was such a stark contrast to his tumultuous life, absolutely ineffective, with no signs of awakening from the deceased's psychic source!

Leo was about to burst with anger!

This world had developed to this point, and it served no further purpose; he promptly severed the world.

Han Yanyan, who had inherited the position of family head, suddenly returned to a pure white space and realized Leo had finally awakened.

She had spent over twenty years in that world, almost forgetting what Leo's voice sounded like. But as soon as Leo's roar echoed in the space, it all came back to her.

"Han Yanyan, you damned woman! What on earth are you doing?" Leo bellowed.

Han Yanyan chuckled and said, “I figured since you were sleeping, I should take a break too, so I enjoyed life a little.”

“How dare you slack off!” Leo shouted furiously.

Han Yanyan provoked, “Even if I’m a laborer, shouldn’t I have the right to catch my breath? If you’ve gone off to sleep, then I’ll take a break as well.”

Leo calmed down, sneering, “Do you think I can't do anything to you? Fine, I didn't plan to treat you like this since I thought you were doing well.”

Suddenly, electricity surged through Han Yanyan's body, causing her to fall in pain, her fingertips trembling, unable to speak.

“Just a little lesson for you,” Leo said. “I'm restarting this world now; get back to work!”

Han Yanyan successfully shifted Leo's attention away from the last world, nearly breaking into a smile. But she had encountered many advanced technologies unseen in her own world during her last iteration; she understood that in this pure white virtual space, it wasn't easy to hide her expression just by bowing her head. Hence, she suppressed her emotions, enduring the pain and adopting a pained expression, silently acquiescing to Leo's words, as if resigned.

Seeing the dead woman bend her will, Leo felt satisfied. While operating, he informed her, “I’ve restarted; I've increased the flow rate of time. Hurry up and resolve this!”

As he finished speaking, the scenes around Han Yanyan shifted. She opened her eyes and found herself back over twenty years ago, in a soft pink princess room, lying on a large comfortable bed, her arms almost delicate, her chest flat.

Startled, Han Yanyan sat up and surveyed the room. It had long been remodeled as she grew older, but in this moment, it appeared somewhat nostalgic.

She knew that soon Tang Ke would arrive with Xing Ya, sitting in a taxi.

But that wasn’t important. Tang Ke was a client, Leo's client, not hers.

Re-entering this world, she was still the twelve-year-old girl with only an A-level innate psychic ability. Eagerly, she yearned to try something new.

In the last round, she had diligently studied everything related to psychic abilities. The mainstream theory held that psychic energy always existed within its source, erupting when bodies reached maturity at corresponding stages. What people referred to as training or cultivating psychic energy merely helped release it artificially.

Han Yanyan grasped the soft silk mattress with both hands, taking a deep breath.

In the more than twenty years of the last round, she had focused on two things: psychic energy and mechas. When the world was severed by Leo, she had already become an SS-level psychic wielder. She had firmly engraved the sensation of psychic energy into her memory, bringing that memory along to this round.

Now, it was time to test it out.

A humble floating taxi drove through the manor's grand entrance. Tang Ke was astonished by the vastness and magnificence of the estate.

"Is this the place? Mom?" he asked nervously.

Xing Ya patted his head, gently saying, “When you meet your uncle, be sure to be polite.”

Tang Ke nodded.

After getting out of the taxi, having made a reservation in advance, there were already trained male servants awaiting them at the main door. The servants were polite, but their demeanor was not warm, clearly having seen many relatives looking to take advantage.

Though young, Tang Ke could feel the underlying attitude. Yet he was overwhelmed by the grandeur of the palace-like structure, unable to help but look up in amazement.

At that moment, as an A-level psychic wielder, he suddenly sensed a dangerous aura! Instinctively, he activated his psychic shield, protecting himself and his mother. However, being young and newly awakening his psychic abilities, he was still unskilled. The servants were a bit far, and in that fleeting moment, he couldn't cover everyone.

At that very instant, a deafening explosion echoed from above. A room overhead had exploded, sending shards of glass, steel, concrete, and stone flying outward!
