Han Yanyan found that living on the same floor as Ding Yao had its drawbacks...like him knocking on her door, usually in the evening. She had just come back from leading a team yesterday, went out today, and only returned at dusk. Fresh out of the shower, with a towel wrapped around her head, she went to answer the door.
As soon as the door opened, a mist with a feminine fragrance greeted him. Ding Yao, seeing Han Yanyan dressed in just a bathrobe with a towel on her head, decided not to enter her room and stood speaking at the doorway.
"What’s going on with you and Qi Lei?" he asked directly, not bothering to make any wild guesses.
"Friends," Han Yanyan replied. "Had a meal together today."
While humans restricted their activities, animals did quite the opposite. It was common to see various animals roaming the area outside the old city in the new district. Qi Lei had shot a deer and some wild chickens and invited Han Yanyan out for a feast.
Going out to eat and shop with a handsome young guy, something considered a date back in the day. Han Yanyan’s outing with Qi Lei had been spotted, and the news made its way to Ding Yao.
"A date?" Ding Yao asked.
"Sort of," Han Yanyan shrugged. "In these days, even just sharing a meal counts as a date."
