That person was discovered by Ding Yao.
Those illegal dumping ships flew to the designated locations and then released their trash as if opening a floodgate. The mound of garbage grew higher and higher, with new refuse rolling down from the top, mixing with the old waste. For Han Yanyan, trying to find a person among such towering heaps of trash without drawing any attention was almost impossible.
However, Ding Yao’s imaging device had infrared scanning capabilities. He detected a living being among the garbage, its shape resembling a person. He called out to Han Yanyan and led her closer.
What he didn’t know was that this world was welcoming a second crossover traveler, a situation set into motion by Han Yanyan herself.
Just as Han Yanyan had orchestrated it, a hibernation pod-like object slid down from atop the trash mountain. The man she had been waiting for lay inside. Through the transparent lid of the pod, she could see him wearing his usual white shirt.
Han Yanyan opened the pod lid and gazed at the young man’s sleeping face, feeling as if time had stood still.
After so many years apart, it felt like ages since they last met… dear.
Ding Yao brought Xiao Yan to the suspected life form, and his imaging device outlined a figure lying inside the pod. It appeared to be a man.
