Su Xiao and his companion entered the underground passage, starting their search for ghouls. Strangely enough, whenever Su Xiao didn’t want to encounter ghouls, they would often show up right in front of him. But now, he couldn’t see a single one.
After searching for five minutes, Su Xiao caught a faint smell of blood. His companion, Arima, nodded, and they cautiously moved toward a corner ahead. Not long after, they heard the sound of something gnawing.
“Crunch, crunch.”
A ghoul weighing at least three hundred pounds was hunched over a corpse, devouring it ravenously. This was an ordinary ghoul. With a weight of three hundred pounds, it wasn’t very strong, probably between B-rank and A-rank.
“Arima, this one looks good; there’s a lot of meat,” Su Xiao said.
Arima nodded in agreement. “But we need to find a sturdy rope.”
The three-hundred-pound ghoul, startled by their conversation, looked up at them in confusion. In its hands, it clutched a severed leg, which was already mangled and bloodied, exposing white bone.
“White, the Grim Reaper.”
