Inside the swiftly moving carriage, silence reigned. Unlike usual, Seoryang, resting his chin on his hand, gazed out the window with an indifferent look. However, the silence from Madongpil and Wihongryeon wasn't solely because of Seoryang. Madongpil had his eyes closed, lost in meditation, while Wihongryeon was seriously reviewing a command document. It wasn't surprising for Madongpil, but Wihongryeon's demeanor was unexpected. Though she often appeared reckless and fierce, she was also the captain of a combat unit. It was natural for her to approach missions seriously to avoid failure.
Time passed. Wihongryeon spoke to Seoryang. "Inspector, at this pace, we'll reach Jeoksaga in about five days. If we take it slower, it might take a day or two longer."
"......"
"What would you like to do?"
"What do you think is better?"
"I recommend taking it easy."
Seoryang nodded. "Let's do that."
"Understood."
As Wihongryeon resumed reviewing the documents, she asked again, "There's a secret branch of our sect in Yeonju. Would you like to stay there for a while?"
"Is it good for reorganization?"
"Yes, the more time we take, the better it is in many ways."
"I see."
