“In the end, it was all for nothing.”
At a tavern near the Martial Alliance. Jin Cheon, who had taken a seat, grumbled to himself as he ordered side dishes and drank alone. Originally, he had a plan.
Enter the Dragon-Phoenix Tournament, win, and gain fame. Turn that fame into money and power. With the money and power he gained, he would raise his sect to greatness and ensure his Master lived in luxury.
He had come all the way to the Martial Alliance with this perfect plan, but in the end, it was a spectacular failure.
“Tch, what a dirty world. How can anyone who isn't from one of the righteous sects live with this sorrow?”
Jin Cheon grumbled, drunk. To those around him…
‘Tsk, tsk, another one who failed the Dragon-Phoenix Tournament preliminaries.’
‘There are always guys like that.’
‘He should blame his own lack of skill.’
He looked like a total loser in life. Regardless, Jin Cheon paid them no mind and just kept drinking.
“What should I do now?”
Now that the opportunity of the Dragon-Phoenix Tournament was gone, he had to devise another way. Ultimately, to gain wealth and fame in the martial world, one had to prove their skills. But what was an unknown disciple from a small sect, who wasn't even given a chance, supposed to do?
