“Mmm, this sense of fulfillment.”
Patrick wore a proud smile. Wiping the sweat from his brow with a refreshing smile, he looked completely fulfilled. It was a scene that could have been mistaken for a refreshing moment of youth.
“Ugh... ugh...”
If not for the lump of bloody flesh writhing at his feet.
Jayton.
No, the thing that was once called Prince Jayton was writhing and groaning intermittently, but its original form was completely gone. Thanks to being thoroughly beaten without a single spot missed, his entire body was swollen.
“You… you… you you…”
The referee, seeing Patrick who had put Jayton in such a state, was at a loss for words. How in the world could you do that to a person? Even if this was a legitimate duel, Jayton was the prince of a kingdom.
To mince a prince like that? Was that something a sane person could do?
“Aren't you going to make the call?”
When Patrick asked the referee nonchalantly, the referee spoke.
“Intentionally killing an opponent results in a disqualification.”
“Ah, don't worry about that. He definitely won't die.”
It was true. Right now, Jayton's entire body ached enough to kill him, but not a single bone was broken, and his internal organs were unharmed. In other words, he had been beaten to the brink of death, but his life was not in danger.
