As usual, I’ll write a few words before the new book is officially released. Let me chat with you all for a bit. Our book will be officially released tomorrow night at midnight, which happens to be New Year’s Day.
So, we’ll be celebrating the New Year together, right? No stockpile of chapters! I know many of you are probably wondering about the promised explosive release of chapters, but I have to sadly tell you all—there’s no stockpile.
Before starting this book, I did have tens of thousands of words saved up, but I ended up deleting most of it because I felt the pacing was too slow. Haha, so what you’re getting now is all fresh content, written day by day. Those of you who’ve watched my live streams know how slow I type.
I’m a two-finger typist, and even after writing for seven or eight hours a day, I can only manage seven or eight thousand words. After editing and cutting, only about six thousand words make it into the final draft. Tomorrow, I’ll write as much as I can and update accordingly.
Let’s see if I can squeeze out an extra chapter. Let me put it this way: in the first month after release, every author wants to update as much as possible. No one wants to update less.
So, while explosive updates are hard for me, I’ll do my absolute best to write each chapter well and treat every chapter with care, even if this book ends up being a thousand or two thousand chapters long… Now, let’s talk about updates, but I also have to beg for your subscriptions.
Let me vent a little—writing a new book is really stressful. I finally understand why other authors always seem so tortured when they start a new book. I used to think they were just being dramatic…
Well, now it’s my turn to be dramatic, because it’s genuinely painful. I’m constantly thinking about the plot, the characters, and my mood fluctuates with every chapter’s reception… Thank you to all the brothers who’ve been following along.
I know many of you, my old brothers, specifically downloaded Qidian just for me, including those who’ve been with me since the “Ten Thousand Eons” days. The success of this new book wouldn’t be possible without your support. When you’re under pressure, it’s easy to get emotional…
Okay, that sounds dramatic again, but it’s the honest truth. Aside from the old brothers who’ve been with me since “Ten Thousand Eons,” there are also many new friends reading my work for the first time.
“The Primordial Laws” won’t disappoint you.
Rest assured, the fantasy elements will only get more exciting as we go, and I’ll make sure it’s worth your time and attention. Thank you to everyone who’s been following along.
Before the release, I didn’t deliberately set up any major cliffhangers or climaxes because I think it’s better to let the story progress naturally, especially since this is a long fantasy novel. Besides Qidian, I’ve also set up a monthly voting event for the new book. Feel free to participate—the prizes are pretty good.
Once again, I’m asking for your support with the initial subscriptions. They’re really important, and I hope you can help out. I won’t write too much more here…
Let’s get back to the story!
