It was a long time before Iron Arm regained consciousness. He only opened his eyes after he was loaded onto the helicopter and brought back to the training center. Though he had been treated with the Gold Eternal Flower, the mana Terti left behind was just that potent.
The first thing Iron Arm did upon waking was to apologize. The guilt of seeing Bi-soo restrained before his very eyes and being unable to bring her back weighed heavily on his shoulders.

Maria's warm hand touched his thick one. Though she wasn't particularly healing him, a warm energy traveled through his fingertips.
"Don't say that. Hunter Iron Arm, you did everything you could."
She hadn't witnessed the situation herself. However, judging by the traces of battle left in the parking lot, it was no ordinary fight. All the Merus that Iron Arm had was depleted, and he had suffered a great shock from the mental corruption caused by the mana.
No one questioned Iron Arm about why he couldn't protect Bi-soo. Given his character, he surely would have used every last bit of his strength to protect her.
"I'm glad you recovered quickly."
