“You are truly amazing.”
Half in admiration, half with a face steeped in emotion, Dr. Jin patted Cheon Hae-seon’s shoulder. Though the battle had taken place in the human world, Cheon Hae-seon had achieved the splendid feat of ‘defeating a Demon,’ something no one else had accomplished.
“It was nothing special. If Kiril had fought here, he would have taken it down much faster than me.”
“No. There’s no need to downplay your abilities like that. In my opinion, you’ve already become a Hunter on par with Kiril.”
Dr. Jin praised Cheon Hae-seon with an immensely pleased expression, and Do I-su, with a similar look, guided him.
“Well, shall we go get a drink?”
“Before that, there’s something I need to show you.”
Cheon Hae-seon rummaged inside his clothes with a mischievous look. Dr. Jin and Do I-su looked at each other, exchanging glances. Seeing that he had come here as soon as he arrived in Korea, they had thought he might have something.
However, the ‘something’ Cheon Hae-seon produced was far beyond their expectations.
“Here.”
What came from Cheon Hae-seon’s clothes was a sealed petri dish. Inside it was a slender creature, so thin you had to squint to see it.
“What… is this, Hae-seon?”
“First, please tell me you won’t be shocked.”
“I promise.”
Dr. Jin nodded obediently, and Cheon Hae-seon, after making a strange expression, answered.
