In the Pure Subtlety Heaven, within the Golden Palace of the Clouded Court, a host of immortals had been summoned. They bustled about, each displaying their immortal arts, preparing to celebrate the triumphant return of the Divine Repository Venerable. An air of peace and harmony filled the hall.
"Divine Envoy Duye, oh no, Immortal Lord Duye, it is I who had eyes but failed to see Mount Tai. In the past, my words were careless, and I offended you."
Divine Envoy Honghu kowtowed with loud thuds, as if he would continue until Immortal Lord Duye forgave him. Immortal Lord Duye sat upon the Emperor's Throne, propping his arm up lazily. He lifted an eyelid and saw his old rival, Divine Envoy Honghu, prostrating himself.
He waved a hand.
"So it's Honghu. Rise. I am not such a petty man. Let the past be the past."
"Someone, grant him a seat."
"I wouldn't dare, I wouldn't dare."
Divine Envoy Honghu hastily thanked Immortal Lord Duye for not holding a grudge. Golden Immortals were addressed as "Immortal Lords." Divine Envoy Duye had long since become a Golden Immortal but had been concealing his strength and had not announced it.
