Duan Yin was in an unbearably awkward position, waiting anxiously, yet the Earth Immortal from his side still had not come to receive him. The few Old Monsters from the Ashen Karma Dao Arena were too busy to attend to anything else as they apologized to their allies.
Yan Chuan’s sect—the Netherworld Dao Arena—had several older experts whose faces were grim. They had already learned the full sequence of events, and this battle had actually been caused by Duan Yin. The consequences had been extremely serious.
Yan Chuan had forcefully stood up for Duan Yin, only to be cut in half at the waist and then have his head severed. His defeat had been a truly tragic and brutal sight. How could the Old Monsters of the Netherworld Dao Arena possibly look pleased?
Yan Chuan was a famous Great Sage and the Dao Arena’s public face. It would have been fine if he had won, but now he was “lying dead” beneath Zheng Guang’s feet. After this bloody battle, even the sect behind him had been humiliated.
No one knew how many people had watched the fight. The news was bound to spread everywhere. The few top Earth Immortals behind Xu Yuan, from the Origin Ruins Dao Arena, also looked extremely displeased.
