Li Qingyue did not worry about Qin Ming's safety, for she had thoroughly crushed her rivals, who were once her close friends.
Wang Caiwei was gravely injured, her black-gold armor in tatters, her complexion pale as paper. The usually cheerful girl now wore a look of despair and sorrow.
Inside her broken armor, she wore the protective golden robe meant to shield disciples from harm, which had lost its luster, already stained with blood.
Once graceful in her movements, today she stumbled forth in her damaged black-gold armor. Although her feet glowed as she moved quickly, something was definitely off, especially as she neared Qin Ming with a slight falter.
Qin Ming remained calm, gripping the steaming Bagua Furnace as a weapon in one hand, while the other hand was filled with the shining power known as Tian Guang Jin, ready to ignite and consume.
He wasn’t very familiar with Wang Caiwei, but he bore her no ill will. If he thought hard, he remembered the pleasant time they had shared during their outings, her laughter echoing in their conversations.
Yet, that single outing was over two years ago, and the memories had faded with time.
Deep down, Qin Ming wished for a peaceful coexistence. If she aimed to snatch near-immortal treasures from him, he would have no choice but to act.
