-Swish, swish, swish, swish! -Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud!
[Ugh!]
[Gasp!]
An old man with the demeanor of a scholar flicked steel beads using the Finger Flicking Divine Technique, piercing the hearts of five masters in an instant. Watching them die in agony, a sturdy-looking man clicked his tongue.
He could not help but be amazed by the martial prowess that took the lives of initial stage of the Supreme Realm masters in a single strike, masters that he and his thirty-man guard squad had desperately tried to stop. Behind him stood a young girl with an elegant appearance.
The girl's name was Jin A-yeong, from the Jin family of the Unrivaled Fortress. When Jin A-yeong recognized the old man, her face lit up, and she ran over and embraced him. -Thump!
[Grandpa Chak!]
[You rascal.]
At her childish affection, the old man, Sama Chak, shook his head and laughed. Having turned his back on the secular world, he was someone who wouldn't move even if his son-in-law or daughter called for him. But because this child's face so closely resembled his late wife, he occasionally visited the Unrivaled Fortress.
[Did you come to see me again?]
This brightly smiling face. She resembled her more than his own and only daughter, Sama Yeong. He thought he would only see her again in the afterlife, but this child warmed a corner of his heart.
