Adam asked Sophia, "Do you know any other dragon tongue magic?"
Sophia nodded vigorously. A Big Dragon this powerful was bound to bring in piles of food, which meant she wouldn't go hungry — and she might even get to eat a little extra. Delighted, she cast every dragon tongue spell she knew, one after another.
Once Adam had learned them all, he gave Sophia a heap of food, let her eat on her own, and set up an analysis task in his mind.
He found that in every dragon tongue spell, the sound of the dragon tongue was the magic itself: any syllable that could be voiced and reasonably combined would provoke a reaction in the elements. That plainly did not fit Adam's definition of magic. The only explanation was a rule unique to the Dragon Plane — dragonkind here might truly be born high, their bloodline power the finest casting medium there could be.
