Bloodline purification is, in every sense of the word, a simple technique.
In the Mage World, mages who can use the rune system need only a single simple refining spell to extract high-purity bloodline from a great mass of impure blood. Of course, the prerequisite is knowing the target bloodline's information first — and that is not difficult either; advanced alchemy equipment can read that information easily.
As for ancient inheritance magic families like the Hill family, bloodline purification is rather more troublesome: it requires consuming vast quantities of samples to obtain the information, and then consuming vast quantities of samples again to refine the bloodline by a primitive method. That primitive method is called a blood sacrifice magic formation.
But in the Dragon Plane, magic formations — a technique that comes from the Mage World — easily attract the attention of the Source. Adam did not currently have the strength to take that risk, so he could only choose another, more tedious method.
