Relying on the Heart Demon’s formless and shifting ability, and the fact that the Primordial Heavenly Demon was originally at the mid-Golden Core stage—far stronger than Emperor Jiayou, who at this moment was only at the early-Golden Core stage— its influence was therefore utterly impossible for anyone to perceive. Very soon, the karmic scene began to advance.
Emperor Jiayou, just as in true history, started to face suppression from the court officials and ministers led by the Dao Court’s Grand Preceptor. In true history, he chose to rise to the challenge. But this time, under the Primordial Heavenly Demon’s interference, a desire for pleasure gradually sprouted within him.
His once high-spirited fighting will was slowly worn away, bit by bit.
"Forget it. Forget it."
"Even if I win, what meaning is there? Once the Dao Court's Heavenly Son reaches a thousand years, he must ride the dragon to heaven. Mid-stage or early-stage makes no difference to me."
"Unless I reach Great True Monarch, only then can I make slight changes."
"But Great True Monarch is far too difficult. Not only must I control the court, but I must also make the Three Dukes completely submit. It feels utterly hopeless, and I would have to endure so much, so much hardship."
